…as given to me from above!

Monthly Archives: January 2014

It’s been over 7 months I published on this blog ‘cause my muse went on holidayswell to the Bahamas, initially for spring, then summer. I only hope it comes back with well toned skin, maybe not, as it has decided to stay through winter!

In this age and time when the world has become a global village, I thought I could easily reconnect with my muse faraway in Bahamas, seriously, I tried! Severally! The connection kept falling like telecommunications networks in Nigeria. The more frustrating part is that we only agreed to a spring holiday, why stay through winter and leave me in the cold like a homeless fellow in Brooklyn?

I’m so angry right now! I guess I’ll have to learn to live and write without my muse!

… I picked up my pen and my dusty journal without an inkling on what to write, just a resolute determination to write and break the jinx that has held me hitherto from publishing on my blog for so long and here I am!

This is the beginning of a new year – 2014 and many of us started some great projects last year or year before or the year before that… and have stopped midway, some of us didn’t even make it midway, not because we wanted to stop but because the drive to continue kept evading us and until we decide to continue regardless, like I decided to write without my muse, we’ll keep shortchanging ourselves and be less of what God intended us to be.

I’m sure my muse will be back soon, at least, it now knows I can write without it, but till then, I have decided to keep writing and publishing on my blog, becoming who God wants me to be, encouraging people all around the world and having fun in the process.

I know the next time I pick my pen and journal, it may still not flow as easily as it use to but it sure will flow better than it is now…

Happy New Year, welcome to the season of pleasant surprises!

I remain your friend and brother,

Tijesunimi J. Oresanya.
